Graduation Is Here & Summer Is On the Horizon: Here Are 3 Places to Go for a Post-Grad Celebration

|

Earning a college degree is a huge accomplishment. Before you step outside the doors of University Park for the last time, be sure to pause and celebrate. Luckily for you, that’ll be easy here in Boca Raton, one of America’s favorite vacation destinations. You’re surrounded by fun things to do in stunning locations.

Here are a few Boca Raton sights to see as you enjoy your post-grad celebrations.

Where Can I Go to Celebrate in Nature?

If you can’t imagine celebrating without a little time in nature, head over to Daggerwing Nature Center. Here, you’ll find 3,000 square feet of live animal exhibits, two boardwalk trails, a swamp, a butterfly garden, and an observation tower. You’ll get to see woodpeckers, alligators, osprey, turtles, and butterflies, including the Daggerwing, which is where this nature center gets its name.

Or, try Spanish River Park, with over 94 acres of waterside outdoor beauty. Pack an epic picnic and make an afternoon of it, enjoying the Florida sunshine. Take some friends and explore the park’s hiking trails, or go for a solo adventure.

Where Can I Go for a Little Indulgence?

Head over to Mizner Park for a post-grad shopping spree. You’ll need to update your wardrobe, after all, so there’s no better excuse to exhaust your credit card! Drop by Green & Serene, J. McLaughlin, Marcella’s, and Tommy Bahama. Update your makeup at BlueMercury. Freshen up your look at Gramercy Hair Salon. Buy yourself a new piece of jewelry at Les Bijoux or Kendra Scott. And when you need a break, grab a pastry at Le Macaron, a latte at Subculture Coffee, or go all-out with a full meal at Max’s Grille.

Where Can I Find a Bit of Culture for My Celebration?

If you’re looking for a little class and culture as you celebrate, head to the “cultural heart of Boca Raton” – the Boca Raton Museum of Art. There, you’ll find an extensive collection of 19th, 20th, and 21st Century art. There are artifacts from South and Central America, and plenty of pre-Columbian art. This is a great way to expand your cultural and historical knowledge as you embark on your post-grad journey.

Take advantage of all Boca Raton has to offer as you relax and celebrate this momentous time in your life. And for your next adventure, don’t forget to follow the University Park blog to keep up with everything going on in town.
